Okay, explain what the curly-que tree is all about. And don't tell me it means 'bondage'. When I see something that looks like a spring I think 'springy' not 'bondage'. It's a pogo tree.

Apparently Rudy doesn't know much about the human mind. Humans tap into that timeless realm quite a bit. Much of the time it's categorized as beginner's luck or just 'luck', but really it's an integral part of the human mind. If a human can be distracted into a state of 'no-think' a human can do some pretty amazing stuff. It's kinda like the first time I ever played hearts (a card game). It was on a computer and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.. and I 'shot the moon' on the first game. That's beginner's luck. That's what a state of no-think produces.

This is more or less an idea of the difference between humans and animals. Animals live by instinct, but humans take the more academic approach. It's true that, in the case of natural disasters animals are more keen to the event before it happens, whereas people with the same 'premonitions' are considered to have extra sensory perception.

Sorry if I don't like to explain what every metaphor means. I'd like to keep it open for interpretation. Not like anyone really reads the comic anyway, but let's say that the movie "Stay" offered a lot of similar metaphors. No, it doesn't mean bondage. It nearly means the opposite.

Also, I'm not intending for Rudy to be an all-out genius.

[Transcript] - Coyote replies, "I admit that I'm a little lost on 'future' and 'past'. I'm familiar with it, but I don't see the relevance."

"D'you remember things you did yesterday?"

"No. Why?"

"Ev'r think aboud d'millions of those who lived an' died before you ev'r existed?"

"Not really. It doesn't seem important."

"It's important ta'people. Well, some anyway. Yesterday's d'past, tamarra is d'future. We have ta know one to make sanse of d'other. We have to have somedin d'measure ouselves by. We gotta learn from whad we've done ta know whad we're gonna do."

"Why spend the energy on it?"

"Well, we can't jus plug into dat timeless, frictionless universe of mind you're talkin' about. We're soda stuck hab'n ta figure it all out for ourselves. I suppose dat's why we have heads made for memories."

"Interesting. That's how you survive without the wind. You each become like your own version of it."

Storm clouds are closing in outside and Rudy says, "Looks like d' "wind" is about ta do it's thing... I'm gonna go back ta my cave an see whad d'weather repord is. Wanna come wit me?"

"Sure. It's gonna be pretty strong. How safe is your shelter?"
