| [2006 April 29] When I was a kid, despite all my listenning to Ozzy Osbourne I never knew who Randy Rhoads was. I never bothered to learn anything about that scene until I was an adult. I loved that music for some reason, probably because the sentiments were always close to my own. Ozzy went through hell after he left Black Sabbath and that pain was crescendoed in Blizzard Of Oz, Bark At The Moon, and Diary Of A Madman. Diary Of A Madman was the finale where Randy died during the tour. After that Ozzy started becoming a different person, he mellowed and became the crazy family guy made famous on television.
One of the things Ozzy would harp on are people's insistance on him being 'satanic' or some sort of a bad influence; however, if one were to pay attention to his lyrics, even the one's from Black Sabbath, one would realize Ozzy isn't just a shock-rocker, but has some definite ties to what can be considered Christian and sane. I can't think of any other good prelude to what used to be called 'Christian metal'. But mention such attrocities to certain hard heads... it's like ordering a rock to flap it's wings and turn into a strawberry. | |

| [2006 May 1] It's like I said about the movie "The Devil's Advocate". It preached LaVeyan Satanism and Christianity, was true to both, non condemning of either, yet in the end you really couldn't tell the differience between the two ideologies. | |
